Nick Adams' love for music began at an early age, and grew until he bought his first drum set at the age of 14. He gigged with various bands in his home town of San Diego for a few years, before moving to Los Angeles to pursue a full time career in music. He attended the Percussion Institute of Technology at Musicians Institute in Hollywood, where he earned his degree in drum set performance. Upon graduating, he was also the recipient of the esteemed Outstanding Player Award for which his picture appeared in the September 2009 issue of Modern Drummer Magazine.
As a session player, Nick has recorded for such notable producers as Jay Baumgardner (Seether, Drowning Pool), Damon Sharpe (Big Time Rush), and Kevin DeClue (Hilary Duff), and has appeared on dozens of recordings. He also recently played drums on former Columbia Records artist, Andre Cymone's, latest solo album. As a live drummer, Nick has gigged with a vast array of LA based artists and singer songwriters. He has toured extensively with alternative rock band 'Julie The Band' (now 'Early Morning Rebel'), hard rock band 'Life Down Here', folk duo 'Jamestown Revival', and had opened for such music giants as Bon Jovi, Stevie Wonder, and Paramore. He is also the current touring drummer for platinum selling rock artist, and season 7 American Idol winner David Cook with whom he has appeared on American Idol, and played for audiences of 12,000+. Nick is currently touring with David Cook, Life Down Here, and working as an independent musician in Los Angeles.
